Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre

The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre adds to the historic charm of downtown New Braunfels. This landmark opened its doors in 1942 and is now host to a variety of plays and musical acts.

Run by its own non-profit organization, the Brauntex Theatre gives back as a community center used by local clubs, organizations, schools, and church groups. The Brauntex Theatre is also host to performing acts and their current line-up includes: The Texas Tenors (seen previously on America’s Got Talent), The Tony Pace Show, and Indiana University’s Straight No Chaser. For more information on show dates and times see the Brauntex Theatre website.

By supporting the Brauntex Theatre, you are helping the organization reach its goals to “preserve this historic landmark for future generations, anchor the downtown business district, contribute to the economic stability of the community, reflect the community’s interest in the arts, and provide a great new entertainment option.”

The Brauntex Theatre is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and though renovations have been made throughout the years, the building remains true to its history.
