Weekend Snacking—Go TEXAN Style

Try this subtly spicy Texas snack the next time you curl up with a good book or have a family movie night.

  • 2 tablespoons Texas Olive Ranch Rattlesnake Chipotle & Pepper Olive Oil
  • 1/2  cup of high quality popcorn kernels
  • salt to taste

Add oil and popcorn to 5.5-quart Dutch oven or saucepan. Set to medium high heat, and keep the lid slightly ajar to allow the steam to escape. It will probably take 3-4 minutes for most of the kernels to pop, but the times will vary depending on your cook top and cookware. When the popping has slowed, secure the lid, remove from heat, and quickly shake the pan to avoid burning any kernels. Pour the popcorn into a large bowl and salt to taste while the popcorn is still warm.
